Small rescue, big promise
A New Lead on Life is a volunteer-run dog rescue based in Thornton-Cleveleys, Lancashire. We started because too many good dogs were running out of time and too many families were being let down after the adoption paperwork was signed. We rehome across the country, not just locally, and we stay involved for the life of every dog we place.
RBU: rescue back up
Support that doesn't expire
Every dog we rehome comes with RBU: rescue back up. It means that whatever happens, in a year, five years, or fifteen years, we are still here for that dog and the family who took them in.

Behaviour questions, training hiccups, or just reassurance, you can always ask.

We never let a dog go to a pound
If circumstances change and you can no longer keep your dog, they come back to us. Always.

No time limit
RBU isn't a settling-in period, it lasts for the whole of the dog's life.
Raw feeding
Nutrition, done properly
We're committed raw feeders. Every dog in our care is transitioned onto a raw diet suited to their age, size and health needs, and we send every adopter home with the knowledge and support to keep it going.
